Another model of a dinosaur skull, this time a Triceratops!)
Here is a link to a previous model, a Pachycephalosaurus skull: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/0lgA58
The triceratops roamed the plains of what is now North America around 68-66 million years ago. It was the most numerous of the horned Cretaceous dinosaurs.
This is not a scan. I didn't use methods like photogrammetry, and didn't use ZBrush directly for modeling (used it for UV mapping). Instead, used Trellis to generate the basic geometry and textures (1K). I only needed 4-5 high-quality photos of this skull. Next was the process of optimization, retopology, baking and texturing. I increased the resolution to 8K, checked the structure of the fossils and dinosaur bones, and added details. Rendered simply in Corona.
Hope you enjoy it!)
